Hill House Suites, Room 23
Room 23 is located on the 1 st floor. As you enter the room, you can observe the large closet for storage and hanging clothing. There is a king size bed with a brass and white ornate headboard and footboard. Covering the bed is a comforter and shams with a small floral design on a blue background. The skirt is made of a coordinating blue gingham fabric. A blue and white duvet holds a down comforter for cold nights. At each side of the bed, there is a pine bedside table with drawers. A large pine dresser with mirror provides storage. There is a large wing chair covered with blue and white flame stitch upholstery next to the bed.
A sitting area is located adjacent to the brick corner wood burning fireplace. A large pull out sofa covered with green tapestry floral upholstery provides seating and additional bedding. A “cane” design coffee table is in the front of the couch. The walls are covered with a blue small print wall covering. The combination of small prints and gingham in this room give the room a country look and feel. As in the other Hill House rooms, this room also has a wall air conditioner for comfort. Beige tweed Berber carpet covers the floor. Two blue and cream floral throw rugs accent different areas of the room. A pine table with drop leaves holds a 32 inch LCD HDTV.
There are two double windows with cream valances and mini-blinds. A glass door leads to the small patio overlooking a wooded area (look for deer and other woodland animals). Mini-blinds offer privacy.
The bathroom walls are covered with a small floral stripe in blue and white matching the warm country look of the bedroom. As in other Hill House units, the bath is private and has double sinks and a tub/shower. The shower curtain matches the comforter in the bedroom. Strong light over the sinks and a light over the tub light the bathroom. A ceiling heat lamp/ventilator provides heat and comfort.
