Room 25, Hill House (Pet Friendly)

This sunny and cheerful room is on the 2nd floor. It is furnished with a queen size pine poster bed. A comforter of yellow, rose, apricot and green in a floral pattern covers the bed and the shams and skirt match the bed covering. The matching fabric is made into scalloped valances for each window, the glass door and between the posts at the head of the bed. The same fabric is used as a table cover for a pine table holding a 32 inch LCD HDTV. A duvet cover with a down comforter is folded at the foot of the bed to provide additional warmth on cold nights.

There are two pine bedside tables, one with a lamp and the other for bedtime items such as a clock radio. The setting area of this room contains a settee covered with cream and yellow jacquard upholstery. A table is in front of the settee to place magazines and other reading items. The sitting area is located facing the corner wood burning fireplace.

The expansive look of this room is due to the size of the room and the towering cathedral ceilings. The walls are painted with a bright golden yellow color which brings warmth to the room. The architecture of the room is accented with a wide green and yellow border with hunting dogs. The “dog” theme is repeated in various items around the room. In addition to the previously mentioned furnishings, there is a large dresser with a mirror for storage. A nice size closet is located in the entryway of the room to provide hanging space for clothing. A nice touch in this room is a chiminea in one corner filled with yellow and white flowers.

As in the other 2nd floor rooms, this room also has one window with a beautiful arch at the top. Mini-blinds provide privacy at both double windows as well as a glass door leading to a balcony with magnificent views of the grounds, tennis court and the expanse of mountains in the background.

The private bathroom contains a double sink lighted by a florescent fixture and a tub/shower with a hand held shower massage with a light above the tub. A ceiling mounted heat lamp/ventilator is provided.
