Room 28, Hill House
This
room is located on the 2nd floor of the Hill House. A white-washed pine queen
size canopy bed provides interest in this room. A floral vine with greenery
and pink flowers are wrapped around the canopy support at the head of the bed.
The bed is covered by a comforter with a cream background and yellow, pink and
blue flowers. Matching shams and skirt complete the ensemble. A violet velvet
duvet cover holds the down comforter at the foot of the bed.
Cathedral
ceilings grace the 2nd floor rooms of the Hill House and add much drama to the
setting. This room is an example. The walls are painted pink and a wide border
of pink flowers on a green background accent the architecture. The floors are
covered with a beige tweed Berber carpet. A comfortable couch covered with green
and rose plaid upholstery provides seating by the corner fireplace. A table
in front of the couch holds magazines or other items. Two upholstered arm chairs
are on the other side of the fireplace. A large pine dresser with a mirror holds
a 32 inch LCD HDTV. Pine white washed and decorated bedside tables hold a lamp
on one side and an alarm clock on the other. In the corner by the bed, there
is a wooden chair in cream antiquing.
There
are two double windows in this room as in the others. The difference in the
2nd story windows is the beautiful arched top of the windows that were possible
because of the high ceilings. This type of window lets in light but protects
privacy. Cream drapes cover the windows below the arches. A glass door covered
with mini-blinds leads to the balcony overlooking the wooded mountainside.
The
private bath has double sinks and the tub/shower has a hand-held shower massage.
The walls are covered with a green and pink floral/fruit wall covering. Lights
over the tub and the sink provide lighting. A ceiling heat lamp/ventilator provides
heat.
