Ten Acres Lodge - A Stowe Vermont Bed and Breakfast

Chamber of commerce weather in Stowe VT

Filed under: Events in Stowe VT — admin @ 8:27 pm

This has got to be the best stretch of weather I’ve ever seen here.  Sunny days, mid 70′s and cool, clear nights in the 40′s.  I do love summer but the onset of Fall is a special time.  The air seems cleaner, the leaves are just starting to change ever so slightly and mood changes.  It’s no secret that travel is down these days with the economic climate but the leaf peepers are still coming out in force.  The phone has been ringing and people from all over the world have been making their plans to visit Stowe and its explosion of color.  If you have never seen a New England Autumn, and especially a Vermont Autumn, you really should try and make it here to see it for yourself.  Generally, Sept 25- Oct 15 brings with a show of color like you’ve never seen.  Of course Mother Nature has her own time table, but those dates are a pretty good area to work around.  To add to the magic are quaint country inns and bed and breakfast’s nestled in the green mountains or in beautiful villages in a land that time forgot.  Our place is just outside Stowe (about 2 miles) so its close to go exploring but a great country settling to escape to at the end of the day.

Yes, it can be crowded, especially on weekends.  But if you manage to come out mid week, while plenty of people are here, it is far more managable.  Craft shows, harvast markets, antique shops and more make for a memorable experience when coupled with Nature’s rainbow of colors.

We hope to see you in Vermont this autumn and hope you decide to stay at Ten Acres Lodge.
